Hydrangea paniculata 'Fire Light' 7/2021 Panicle- (Wood, 2014) Panicle Hydrangea, Mature size: 7’, White flowers turning red in fall., USDA Hardiness Zone 3-8, Michigan Bloom Week ISO WW27, In Garden Bed G4 for 4.1 YEARS (Bluestone). Planted in 2017.

 

Hydrangea paniculata Fire Light™ 'SMHPFL' (PP25135, 2014) was developed by Timothy D. Wood of Michigan. A cross of Hydrangea paniculata 'Pink Lady M2A' as the seed parent and Hydrangea paniculata 'Pink Lady M2B'. The new cultivar has large inflorescences with white-colored sterile flowers that become red in the autumn. Medium height. Thick, sturdy stems. A Proven Winners® selection. Can be pruned anytime except when flower heads are forming in the summer. Trimmed to single stem in 2020.
