Acer davidii 'Serpentine' (Père David) 2020 photo - Common Name: Snakebark Maple, Mature size: 6-8ft., leaves turning yellow in the fall. white bark during the winter months, USDA Hardiness Zone 5, In Garden Bed HR-VC for 12.9 YEARS (HLG). Planted in 2007.

 

MrMaple: Acer davidii 'Serpintine' has a semi cascading habit for a snake bark. Gorgeous tree, especially as the red fruit hangs in long cluster strands that contrasts well against the darker green foliage. This bright red fruit give the appearance of flowers. 'Serpentine' is a really unique snakebark maple with an exceptional habit and texture in the landscape. 'Serpentine' may reach 6-8 ft in 15 years.
