Gypsophila 'Festival Star' (Danziger, Gabriel: Nir-Zvi, IL 2004) 2019 photo

Gypsophila 'Festival Star' (Danziger, Gabriel: Nir-Zvi, IL 2004) 2019 photo - Common Name: Hardy Baby's Breath, Size: 1x1.5ft., White, USDA Hardiness Zone 4-9, Michigan Bloom Month 7, In Garden Bed R1 for 2.0 YEARS (Lowe). Planted in 2017.

White flowers measuring 12–18″ tall—no staking required. Short stature. A Proven Winners® variety. 'Danfestar' PP 14,818. Gypsophila: From the Greek gypsos (gypsum) and philos (loving), referring to the chalk- or lime-loving nature of most species.

It is nice and small. If it were big and looked like this, it would not have a place in my garden. Blooms late summer, so it is a welcome addition.
