Hemerocallis 'Woodhenge Natural', 2018 photo

"Hemerocallis 'Woodhenge Natural', 2018 photo, Common Name: Tall Red Daylily, Size: 42in., 7.5in. red and dotted rose bitone with darker red band, tan to cream edge, cream midribs, and yellow green throat , Breeder: (Murphy, 2016), USDA Hardiness Zone 3, Michigan Bloom Month 7a, In Garden Bed R1 for 0 DAYS (Murp). Planted in 2018.

Per Woodhenge Gardens: WOODHENGE NATURAL (Murphy, 2016) Fall 42” M 7.5” Dormant, Diploid, Extended UF-Crispate. Out of Negative Image by a vigorous patterned seedling. An unusual patterned combination of colors- Red and rose dotted bitone with a darker red band, tan to cream edge, cream midribs, and yellow green throat. The dark red color and the edges fade during the hot days making the combination and pattern even more striking. Sunfast to the mid 90’s here. 3 branches, 23 buds, fertile both ways. Almost all of the kids have this type of patterning. An improvement on its very good parent, Negative Image, because it is quite vigorous.
