Juniperus squamata is commonly called singleseed juniper because each berry-like seed cone contains only one seed. It is native to mountainous areas from Afghanistan to Taiwan. 'Holger' is noted for its yellow new growth that creates a bicolor foliage in spring. Yellow-tipped foliage eventually matures to blue-green by summer.Dwarf, 1-6 inches per year.
