Hydrangea macrophylla Kaleidoscope™ ‘Hobella' was developed by J.G. Hofstede and W.J.G Hofstede of the Netherlands (PP09462, 1996). Flowers have three phases of coloration, they change from pastel pink to lime green to dark cherry red. A lacecap type hydrangea that becomes spherical with age. Mildew prone.

 

The Kaleidoscope™ series consists of crosses of Hovaria & the Japanese Lady Series. It includes Hobella, Homingo, Hopaline, Fireworks White, Hobergine, Hilibel, Fireworks Pink, Mirai/Love You Kiss, and Ripple (Introduced between 1994-2003).
