Burn Edge Drops...
Most probably these tiny Snowdrop bulbs were torn from the woodland edge further upstream during the December floods. Since the water levels have now receded again, many have turned up and rooted again further downstream. This tiny threesome, for example, is now growing amongst the pebbles and grits, within a foot of the burn edge. A rather unusual yet most pleasing setting I thought.
