Butterbur - Petasites hybridus

The Butterbur flowers are just beginning to show again; they really are quite amazing plants. The robust, almost prehistoric, triffid looking flower heads appear long before the huge rhubarb like leaves begin to show. The warm glow of the early morning light last Sunday provided a lovely still life, almost in the studio, sort of atmosphere and feel to this one and its surroundings. I'm quite pleased with the resulting shot
