Lesser Celandine - Ficaria verna
To my eye, a grouping of three flowers "works and balances" an image so much better than any other number. With this in mind I had a short walk down through Benholm Wood this morning to search out some "Nice Threes". Trying to isolate small groupings of Celandine from amongst the masses which are in flower there just now was not an easy task, it really was like looking for a needle in a haystack. However, I think I eventually found what I was looking for with this threesome, I was pleased with both the arrangement and the rustic setting.
