Old Fence - near Benholm Bridge...
I first spotted these old, interwoven fence panels at the end of last summer. Much to my disgust and annoyance they had been dumped by the roadside near Benholm Bridge. On the morning I found them, and every time I have walked past them since, I have cursed the fly tipper who had so thoughtlessly disposed of his rubbish and waste on my beloved “patch”. Last weekend however, as I wandered by them yet again, the dappled early morning light, painting the stained panels with the most amazing glow of colour and shadows, really caught my eye. The few windblown leaves trapped on the framing, provided the point of interest I needed, the composition pretty much looked after itself, I had found my first shot of the day...
