Trophic

This deer had been grazing on the grass before I snapped this picture. I would definately say that the grasses are the most influential species in the area because many of he organisms are herbivores (from insects to deer). The effects of this species removal could mean a decline in the herbivore population unless they can adapt to eat other plants. I think that the authors of the article would say that the deer is most limited by predators (primarily hunters in my area). The insects that I photographed are also probably limited by predators as they are mostly herbivores and do not deplete the food source. The grasses are probably limited by a mineral as water and light both are usually fairly abundant in the area (light especially becuase of the the lack of taller trees/plants).
