Help needed on Chris Palmer's King box!

I am getting nowhere past this stage, I need to know how to add the crimps so that the model will get that stretched look. This is where I am so far. It is a decreeped purse, with a classic flower tower base with a eight sided preliminary fold. Any suggestions?
