Talister Bay Isle Of Skye Scotland .

 

A vertical shot of this delightful little bay , I like the lay out of the foreground rocks silvery sea with the cliffs and rocks as a back drop plus that outstanding sky .

 

Not the kind of image i would shoot for a mono conversion as i think the colour is one of the most important points of a photograph like this . People often question what is the best landscape image colour or black and white . I have to say i like them both for very different reasons and i am all ways conscious of what the final image will look like when i am considering a composition . My thought,s are if you shoot them both and enjoy both why restrict your your self to one genre . Besides that shooting both gives so many more options with the time of day and the light situation . It means in the dark gloomy winter days i can still carry on with mono or LE work , then in the summer when all the colourful sky,s and cliff tops come alive i can fill my boots with full on colour , its a win win situation .
