Third day of work at new downtown job
I have always been convinced that the way we dress and present ourselves is a key component of who we believe ourselves to be. It's not just about "dressing for the job you want, not the one you have" but a demonstration of your self image. I heard a description once of a woman who "wore clothes that were so integrated into who she was, that it was as if they were a part of her - floating as if connected to her. Unlike some people whose clothing wore them".
I have always felt that when I dress up, and put a little effort into my appearance, I am significantly more productive and efficient in my entire day, even if I start it out tired and 'on the wrong side of the bed'. A good skirt and a thoughtfully chosen top can make all the difference between a sleep hang-over and a work day worthy of a promotion to senior management.
So I'm going to attempt to post a daily photo of my day's wardrobe - in an attempt to dully demonstrate how I am representing myself, but also to motivate me to stick to my own convictions and really put an effort forth to look my best.
