Rod Lewis' highly modified Hawker Fury FB Mk. 11, Unlimited air racer Race no. 232; s/n TG114, N232MB.
Seen on 19 May 2012 under preparation by Fighter Rebuilder for the 2012 National Championship Air Races and Air Show in Reno, Nevada. This aircraft will be powered by a freshly overhauled race prepared Wright R-3350 radial engine, complete with a rare EA-2 slow-turning nose case.
At the 2011 Reno National Championship Air Races pilot "Hoot" Gibson qualified 232 at 467.054 mph. After the qualifying run a burned piston was found and it was forced out of competition for the remainder of the week.
