Donaldson Jr. 528545 is shown here standing in front of the family home, Hedgely House at 64 Caledonia Street at the corner of Jones and Caledonia Streets in Stratford Ontario Canada in 1916. The vehicle, a 1914 Overland Touring is decorated with Patriotic flags and bares a porcelain 1916 Ontario license plate. Behind the Privates right hand is a hitching post for those who arrived by horse and buggy. This home still stands today and has changed little in appearance over the last 100 years. Private Donaldson was with the 85th Battery out of Wolseley Barracks , London Ontario. He served as a medic with the Canadian Siberian Expeditionary Force.
