Winter Bliss in Oak Creek Canyon

When I moved to Arizona about a year and a half ago, one of the things I thought would change forever is the feeling one experiences during the holidays. Living in Minnesota for most of my life, followed by a brief stint in southwest Colorado, I've always been accustomed to a white Christmas. It's something that figured would go by the wayside here in Sedona. Well not quite so this year! A string of storms have blown through the state this month that have gone a long ways towards bringing back that Christmas "feel" around here. The snow doesn't really stick around very long, but its been nice to see...particularly on the red rocks around town. Here's a scene from my wanderings in Oak Creek Canyon yesterday after the latest storm began to break. It was a fun morning of playing in the snow!
