Upper Blue Lake

The weather didn't cooperate too much when Steve and I hiked up to the tundra area surrounding the upper two Blue Lakes in the Sneffels Wilderness. The light was fickle and the wind kept blowing, but we caught a break about a half hour before sunset and I was able to rip off a few shots of the high peaks reflecting in Upper Blue Lake. Soon thereafter, the winds kicked back in and the shooting was essentially done for the night. Still, it was a fun evening spent in a beautiful corner of the Sneffels Range that relatively few people get to see...especially at sunset. We even had a few friendly marmots to keep us company!
