Whilst we were on holiday at a Landmark Trust property we put together three jigsaws over the first three nights. This beauty, which I've known for ten years, was collected by John Hyde. I found another jigsaw which I believe to be by the same cutter and John, David & I put it together at a meeting -later Bronwen repaired it for me. I was extremely happy to be awarded this jigsaw in John's sale. All three of these images are from Pears Annual illustrations or plates.

I don't know if this was hand-cut from a predesigned cutting template, or created extempore without templates. It's astonishing cutting and I love it. I hope to find more examples one day.
