New cutter Jane Sherwood has lent me some of her early jigsaws to put together.
Jane has created interesting piece shapes. The pieces are rather large so Jane's next step is the reduce their size whilst maintaining their complexity and interest. I think Jane made a mistake with the top edge cutting off the bird's beak. She has created a line of interlocking edge pieces which, although detached from the rest of the jigsaw, saved the situation. Lovely bold & colourful artwork from a calendar.

I started with the edges, then it was a case of picking a colour or pattern and building from it. The detached edge was puzzling at first, until I spotted the beak.
