New cutter Jane Sherwood has lent me some of her early jigsaws to put together. I was keen to do this one because James C Christensen is one of my favourite fantasy artists, and I wasn't even aware of this painting!
Jane has created interesting piece shapes and I appreciated the accurate line-cutting around the feet and hat. The pieces are rather large so Jane's next step is the reduce their size whilst maintaining their complexity and interest.

I've flipped the rear image so it is easier to compare with the front.
I started with the edges, quickly filled in the chequered floor and the feet which met it. Then it was a case of picking a colour or pattern and building from it. Lovely!
