Puzzlapy 308pc Sincerity In Red Canvas Print 2024 DSC05463
A new hand-cut from Isabelle of Puzzlapy, bought at Puzzle Parley 2024. It has a fancy edge and is made from a canvas print. I displayed this at the BCD 2025 House Party, for our secondary theme of Simply Red as well as 'New Hand-Cuts from BCD members. Kim took a great fancy to it and asked that I remember her if I ever decided to sell it.
Puzzlapy 308pc Sincerity in Red, canvas print. I'm afraid I don't know the artist's name.
The interesting edge was the main reason I chose it (although it is a very pretty image). The top corner detail is a single piece, but the curves meeting it make the edge confusing. The lower edge is more of a challenge.
The linen texture is nice and the cut is very thin and precise, and melts away. On the rear you can see Isabelle's hummingbird signature piece, her stamp and the lovely glowing (oiled?) plywood. The pieces were very nice to handle.
We put this together at the virtual meeting in Jan 2025. I couldn't resist starting with the face. David had started on the edges and had assembled the head and shoulders. I completed the straight edge sections and worked the green background until the top corner emerged. After that it was the red/green junction until the face could be connected. At this stage I started playing with the lower red feathery bits until the base was done, with David filling in at the other end. David retired for the night and I finished just before midnight, whilst listening to the Yes album, Tales From Topographic Oceans.
