Rachael is teaching herself to cut wooden puzzles and sharing them with a group of fellow student-cutters and a few reviewers. She only unpacked her saw in May 2024 and is making amazing progress. Rachel is developing a mixed style with interlocking backgrounds and line-cut push-fit foregrounds. Her next task is to reduce the size of her pieces so they are in the usual range for adult jigsaws.
That liitle koi served as a surprising disruptor of the interlocking edge - a nice touch. This was harder than expected. I solved it by doing the pebbles and edge first and leaving the fish until last. I like the change of style in the fish.

The image is not one that I'd choose, but it is growing on me, and this was the most satisfying jigsaw to do.
