I finished my three jigsaw Show & tell by sneaking in a hand-cut.
Turtleteasers are cut by hand by Ron Moore, using a geometric template. He cuts very small and regular interlocking pieces – shown here against a dime - from chunky 5-ply. He mainly cuts very small jigsaws, stored in distinctive siding lid boxes. This is 154pc, Kintaikyo Bridge by Kawase Hasui. It measures only 4.6 x 6.8in giving almost 5 pieces per square inch.
Unusually, there are four turtle signature pieces in this puzzle one of the things that drew me to it.
Penbleth also did and posted a small Turtleteaser jigsaw over this weekend - one that she borrowed from Jan (along with two stunning tiny jigsaws). My first Turtleteaser was bought from Penbleth too; another Kawasw Hasui print Autumn in Sarawiya.
