Genest Le Colimagon Persian Group Project with Bronwen 6 DSC00306

The end of my catch-up period on Bronwen's progress over Sunday afternoon and evening. All pieces visible. This morning in a brief session David remarked that it was like we had a missing tray - which was literally true. When unpacking the jigsafe I had lifted the second box to peer underneath and it looked empty - by chance the pieces were all at the far end!

Catch-Up: I corrected the salmon horse and worked on the white one, slowly filling in the mountain. Fixing his forelegs & head near the right edge was a welcome breakthrough, but progress generally was so slow that David decided to work with Bronwen's progress photo as a reference image, whilst I soldiered on without. Piecing together the bow, filling between the salmon horses body and tail and then spotting the black inner edge piece marked another breakthrough. Then it was back to slow filling in and tinkering in the trays. David kept using the reference and we wrestled the archer together. I had moved the rabbit-mountain lump up to the floating border but the fill-ins were tricky to spot.

The unexpected colour changes and accurate line-cutting made the jigsaw extremely difficult - Genest was making us work for every piece. I was pleased to get the big rock and one of the shrubs in, but the left corner mountain/shrub is still not there. Big challenges include fitting in the other large figure, the tree trunk and of course the foliage.
