1 Vintage 140pc De zingende joffer (The singing damsel) by Herman Frederik Carel ten Kate (1822-1891), plywood 28.5x19.5cm, probably 1930s. A smooth random push-fit with line-cutting.

It features an 18thC aristocratic domestic scene, a concert by a mandoline player with various people gathered around a table in front of an impressive fireplace. A second mandolin is leaning against a stool on the left, and two dogs are sitting in the front of the picture; two people in the back are apparently critical of what’s going on. There is line-cutting around the idle mandolin, the dogs, the sceptics, and a chamber screen. This is ‘De zingende joffer’ by Herman Frederik Carel ten Kate (1822-1891).

Painting of a lady in a light blue/white dress at the piano in a salon with carpet on the floor and a large vase with leaf branches behind her. This is the painting ‘Femme au piano’ (1876) by Pierre-Auguste Renoir (1841-1919). The cutting is exceptionally intricate and varied across the image, as is usual with this excellent brand, and really gives 3D- structure to the similar coloured surfaces of the piano.

Picture of a fairground organ with a bunch of kids and the organ grinder standing around. This is the 1902 Mammoth 89 key Gavioli fairground organ, owned at the time by Arthur Mills of Rushden. Pictured is his companion Jack Perkins. Unknown location. Wout was able to track down a great deal of information on the internet about the organ, with its diagnostic painted slogan on the side and was even able to date the photo to c1972 based on the promotional record albums displayed for sale.
