BCD House Party Feb22 Urban Life Show & Tell Table DSC06035
Looking down the show & tell table starting at the far end of our large puzzling room at the Orton Hall Hotel near Peterborough, where we held our 10th house party on Fri 18th - Sunday 20th Feb, 2022.
In the foreground you can see:
- Cardboard: Falcon 3000pc The Census at Bethlehem by Brueghel. This was the ‘Club 3000’ jigsaw started at the 2020 house party but not completed. At the end of the night it was broken up into sections and stored in Lynne’s portapuzzle for 18 months. Alan completed it and brought it for display.
- Cardboard: Pomegranate 1000pc Detroit Industry by Diego Rivera. I showed this at the January virtual meeting.
- Cardboard: Marks & Spencer (Professor Puzzle, China) c500pc 12 Days of Advent, 48x34cm
Advent Calendar: “Enjoy opening each of the twelve doors in the build up to the big day, collecting the puzzle pieces hidden behind each one. Then celebrate by building your own charming festive street scene”. A pretty pastel town street under snow with only a few passers-by doing Christmas tasks. A charity shop buy, this cardboard 500pc jigsaw has a grid cut with the vertical lines wandering about to produce a large variety in piece sizes & shapes.
- Two jigsaws of the AVN Jones South Africa Series 150pc No6 Yachting in Table Bay in sight of the mountain. The one at the front has a typical cut but the one behind, which has lost its box does not - could it be by a different cutter?
The first part of the next table along has mainly my contributions, including Wentworths, Art & Fable, Davici and a large vintage.
