BCD S&T Cardboard & More: Budge Picture Puzzle Contest Game 288pc A32 Sport Oxford Speciality Co Boston Deb L 2

10 288 pc Budge picture puzzle game, No. A32 Sports made by Oxford Specialty Co, Boston, MA in 1933, costing 60c.

The game is for four players each having their own diagonal quadrant of the push-fit 17in square puzzle to complete against the clock. The 72pc sections were colour coded on the reverse, and a frame held the four sections in place, although joggling must have made it chaotic if players were competing simultaneously. The manufacturers claimed that the 60c game was better than Bridge. There were several series including transport, flowers, sports themes. (From Anne Williams’ collection).
