Holiday Destinations Victoria Falls 1972 & 1997 6
I've shown this Wentworth 250pc Pride of Africa crossing Victoria Falls Bridge jigsaw before, at a meeting themed Rivers.
I've visited Victoria Falls twice in my life and David has been there once.
The small square picture was taken in mid May 1972, when the Zambesi was in full spate. My granny, sister & cousin have just got soaked with spray walking through the spray-generated tropical rainforest around the falls - my Mum is behind the lens.
The other photos were taken in late August 1997, after a run of dry seasons. The curtain of water was much reduced as you can see looking down the canyon. We didn't get as far as the bridge but watched people bathing in the pool on the Zambian edge of the falls and people bungee jumping off the bridge.
I created a couple of galleries of Victoria Falls a while back.
