BCD HParty Vintage Jigsaw Snowy Barn DSC07582
Post Script for BCD Just Jigsaws Group
This is the jigsaw shown by the member who is mentioned on pg6 of the magazine, below the photo of the Honeywood Village jigsaw. He has joined our group and I look forward to seeing many more of his excellent jigsaws on flickr.
This large push-fit jigsaw has had several pieces replaced by a BCD member, and entirely merits the attention to bring out its best. It has been quartered and divided using wavy cuts and then dissected into has many interesting shapes and a few recognisable figurals. The scene shows a snowy working barn and a horse-drawn sled. It looks to be a period piece, but could be anything from 17th-19thC - Europe or America.
My friend who brought it has no information as to the artist, or the maker of the jigsaw. I would be grateful for information as to either, as I bought the jigsaw from him.
