DSC01767 Jerome Personal Jigsaw From Photo adj

The theme of the BCD Meeting in Nov 2019 was Children at Play.

Between the circular Waddington jigsaw and the puzzleboard is a group of small jigsaws and boxes. At the back is a wooden early personal photopuzzle made by Jerome, a high-St photographic chain of the 1920s or 1930s. The owner has seen 5 or 6 examples. The cut is quite swirly with long and round knobs. The fancy lace box with an oval design is presumably its box.

The small mid-blue Gamages Brainstorm box is the packaging for the tiny jigsaw 'The Dunce', part of a jigsaw games set (probably of 4).

The red box on the edge belongs to an Expert cut jigsaw, 'Playtime', marketed by W Tye under the Perivale brand. It shows a child on a bed.
