A small Salmon Academy World Mercator Projection Map, cut in their heavily-knobbed strip cut style, with Britain and her commonwealth 'possessions' marked in red. The 100pc jigsaw originally sold for 2s 6d.
The jigsaw was brought along by the BCD Salmon expert. In 1929 Salmon had 29 75pc map jigsaws at 2s6d each. In 1930 they increased the piece count to 100pc and left the price at 2s 6d. Maps of the British Isles were introduced in 1938. In 1939 the range was reduced to 18 titles and ended with WWII. In 1954 the map series reappeared for 2 years - there were 6 maps in the 1954 catalogue.
