Schmidt 1000pc Charis Tsevis Eifel Tower Jigsaw DSC01196
Post Script Jan2022 BCD Cardboard & More
Wentworth have just launched their early Spring 2022 range and I was delighted to see that they have included an image of London Bridge/Street Map fusion by Charis. It is my top choice in the Wentworth releases this season and I hope it does well, because I will certainly be 'going large'.
Would there be any interest in doing a jigsaw like the Schmidt Eifel Tower at the house party, themed 'Cities'?

I was delighted to see this jigsaw, one of a range of four 1000pc cardboard jigsaws by Schmidt, made using artwork by flickr member, designer and graphic artist Charis Tsevis. He specialises in computer-based art, constructed from characters, numbers, letters and micro-images. I chose this one because of a recent trip to Paris, where I spent a lot of time photographing this site.
"Charis Tsevis studied design and advertising in Milan and Munich. He frequently contributes to prominent publications with articles on design theory, aesthetics and cyberculture. He serves global clients including Toyota, IKEA, Best Buy, TIME, Fortune, Wired, The LA Times, The Wall Street Journal and many more. His work has been recognised with Epica, NPSA and ED awards in the USA and Europe. Charis Tsevis is based in Paphos, Cyprus."
I first became aware of Charis's work on flickr, when I made a couple of flickr galleries of his fascinating artworks. (I think it was surfing for a gallery group theme 'numbers', which was one of my most successful early galleries, which led to his works.) Charis was very gracious about it and in replying to comments left on his images.

The numbers add up - a gallery now reduced to 15 photos - I should review it and top it up.
