BCD House Party Santa Christmas Wishes To Absent Friends DSC01887
A jigsaw of outstanding social interest brought by a friend to complement her spectacular Indian Durbar jigsaw. A humorous Norman Rockwell print, probably cut by Parker Bros which has been used by a group of friends wanting to send a message to a family that had recently left the neighbourhood. The Wagner family moved to Denver but this message proved irresistible and the family eventually returned to Akron in the Great Lakes.
The Norman Rockwell image appeared on the cover of the 1926 Saturday Evening Post. The previous owner dis the research, speculating that someone in the group of friends probably had a connection with the paper . Fascinating reading!
