BCD Mtg Yoga by Eric Pedley adj DSC06893
For David Shearer's talk Anything But Square.

Sept 2016
Another gem with a claim to the theme of 'The Orient'.
An astonishing jigsaw absolutely on target for the theme 'Beautiful Places and Fascinating Cuts', belonging to a friend.
At the centre of a luxuriant landscape sits a man cross-legged on a golden globe, meditating. A wavy edge with spiral joins forms the puzzle perimeter. The image is divided into zones along colour lines, with remarkably inventive and attractive cutting in each area. The spiral features are quite curious (and I have two much smaller puzzles which show this pattern).
The puzzle was cut by Eric Pedley, I think for the British Lending Library but not issued. It consists of 789pc and measures 23x26in. The owner had used a sheet of perspex to protect his puzzle which is causing some reflections.
In the top left corner is a document showing a photo of a jigsaw cut by Simon Stocken for a BCD member living in Wales. She wasn't able to come to the meeting but sent photos of the beautiful jigsaw she'd commissioned a few years ago. It was nice for Simon to see a reminder of his work.
