BCD Meeting Library Puzzle 280pc Fun of the Fair adj
The theme for the June 2015 BCD Meeting (British jigsaw association) was Library Puzzles and Interesting Cardboard Jigsaws.
A library puzzle of 280pc, 11.7 x 11in, no 706 in their stock. The four dates on the neck label indicate it was circulating between 17.5.1979 and 4.5.83. A note on the back declares it to be 'Complete, interesting but tricky!' The ink on the tape label has faded and 'Fun of the Fair' has been re-written. The jigsaw (cutter unknown) has a pleasant semi-interlocking cut with no whimsies or distinctive features.
On the left, under the mat are two of the 'interesting cardboard puzzles' that I brought along and described in the show & tell session. I left them on the table but no-one decided to tackle them - I hope that they opened them up to look at the piece shapes. You can see photos of the puzzles below.
