I'm always amazed at the tenacity of plants and their ability to maintain life even in the most unlikely situations.
If mankind were extinct, nature I'm sure would do just fine and would pretty soon cover our tracks.
This Buddleia as you can see, has taken over the pillar of this wall. Further on, I saw an old factory with them growing out of the mortar joints, out of the guttering and up through the paving below.
