Another Day Ends - Open for poem
Another day ends for the 'Old Retainer'.
Retiring now to sleep.
Holding out in the chill of the night.
And In the darkness so deep.
Soon the Ghost owl will leave his hole.
And call out in the night.
Alone he hunts for rusling prey.
Unseen in the absense of light.
Oh, ancient beech and of all you keep.
Bring joy to my tired eyes.
Rest well in your vernal aura.
Soon another day will arise.
