Counter being installed

After much fuss, multiple other projects, and some unexpected travel on the part of my minion, I hired a contractor to do the kitchen counters. The first piece was cut and installed yesterday. I love it.

 

At this point, I'm not sure whether I'm going to use beeswax or soyguard to seal it. I will try each on a scrap and then decide.
