Gaff-rigged Cutter in the San Juan Islands

I photographed this gaff-rigged Cutter at a Port Townsend Boat festival. This sail rig is like that used on Bristol Pilot Cutters that were know to be fast sailing, capable in rough weather, and simple to sail with a small crew. I imagined her sailing in the San Juan Islands using a photo I took there when sailing on the 1913 Adventuress schooner. It is a montage using no A.I.
