4/365 - January 4, 2021
With temperatures in the 40s, Stroodle and I eagerly leave the house for a walk. We agree to remind each other to get this daily task done. It is a lost routine that we do enjoy. I arm myself with the camera. She patiently waits for me to select the lens of choice. Often, this takes more than a few minutes, smiling. And we are on our way.
For one reason or another, our walks disappeared over the last year or two. It's ridiculous, really, but true. We followed the past year's events while safely remaining tucked in with comfy blankets, books, myriad household organizing tasks, cooking, baking, not to mention that we cleaned everything more than enough times and then repeated each step. If we were not officially in the tribe of reclusive humans when last year started, we were when it finished.
Let's hope the New Year brings transitions in all the right ways for all of us.
