1015 at Wadhurst.

6L 1015 awaits departure from Wadhurst with an early afternoon service to Hastings on Sunday 14th April 1985. Engineering works towards Tunbridge Wells were in operation, hence the M&D Bristol VR bus in the station car park. The '23' Headcode on the unit, rather than the usual '22' denotes a 'short' working to Hastings (from stations south of Tonbridge) The notice propped up against the signal, was a reminder to drivers, that certain trains were additionally now booked to stop at Stonegate, and had been there since the introduction of the summer timetable the previous year.
