New Paris. Population, 346 million. Home to some of humanities most extreme Environments. only 20% of the planet is urban cities like that of the old paris on earth. Some 20% of the planet is covered in harsh deserts that are constantly plagued by sand storms almost all year, and being home to some native animals, either timid or aggressive, and hardened humans who find it peaceful to live here. From desert to desert, 10% of the planet are the freezing deserts of the poles. With -80 being standard for a hot summers day, down to -380 on a cold winters day. On to the topic of stable temperatures, 20% of the surface are lush jungles. But don't be fooled, they are infested with deadly vicious creatures native to the planet. And finally the most profound feature, the last 30% of the planet is a sea, only 6 kilometers long, it en-circles the planet, dividing the two semi-spheres of the New Paris.
That's all I really know about this planet. Jamie and I lived here for 3 years, until the RA thought me EC and had my squad killed, and took off half my face. Then the UFR found me and I haven't been back since. I've learned recently that New Gilvon was still EC free. They had found It hard to land on the capital were Jamie and I lived. Maybe there was still a chance yet. The EC had 2 ways of approaching it. Across Sygor Desert or the jungles of Trinish. Both inhospitable and extremely deadly.
My squad and I were issued with SI Support Weapons today along with new orders. We were going into Sygor to find FH Strike Bird 114. We didn't know how far into the desert the Strike Bomber had crashed because the coms and sencor arrays went down when the Happy Day exploded. The PSD ship was carrying almost a full load when It was hit with a direct shot from combat curser Titan Might's 60T Rail Cannon. The 60 tone rail dart got a Direct hit on the Happy Days PSD pod, Vaporizing the ship instantly. We are still waiting on reports of fleet casualties but they are still apparently in combat. I just spent the last hour painting my IR20 in desert Camouflage. I wanted to take it with me. Every one else has been doing the same. Except Maddie. Her assassins rifle had holo preceptors implanted into the metal plating, allowing to change the camo set up in a few seconds. Issac Is still painting his AMOAW. We got told that we would be air dropped our Gauss R17 LFs soon, but Spiner Ligmar Corp. wanted to tweak them a bit. Maddie lent Owen her rifle to practice with. He still doesn't have a sniper rifle.
Not much more to say at the moment. Michel has just gone to get us a desert transport. Should be moving out in 30.
