Justin Soth says: This photo is a great emotional capture. For me, the contrasting tones help to push the feeling that is being displayed by the child. As we age into ourselves, we are continuously finishing one new chapter of being and beginning another. We understand the emotion more as it evolves within our own, albeit limited, experience.

Justin Soth says: As we grow into ourselves, we have the opportunity to illuminate our being. The application of experiences pull together to create "me" or "you" or better yet "I." The decision apply each situation depends souly on the individual. How will each of these effect and affect you?

Justin Soth says: It is all about the view... color, perspective and focus guide our trip through the unknown. The present means everything as the past is gone, and the future, well, who knows what tomorrow may bring. Nathaniel glows in the present. He exudes life in this shot and reminds me that right now is the time to live in and make the most of!

Justin Soth says: Nirvana... the natural aspiration of being. A struggle of light and darkness throughout time. A concentrated practice rarely mastered.

Justin Soth says: A call skyward... It may be to God, the Universe, Ancestral spirits, guides... or no-one at all. A paramount function of being individual; ironically the most heavily influenced by the outside world. I love this capture. To me it represents human need to connect to something... anything. We dance, sing, pray, collect crystals and rocks, scream, curse, throw our hands skyward, and drag our knees on the ground to be one with that which we call God.

Justin Soth says: And as we continue to grow older in mind, body, and spirit, we are able to define ourselves with educated clarity. That which holds little significance to our being will fade away. Do you need a fancy car to define your happiness? Must you purchase your clothing from an over-priced department store to feel as though you have worth? Maybe you need to sit in the dark with yourself; really contemplate what makes you. Maybe you'll find that the only thing you need is the ability to express yourself.

Justin Soth says: The being cycle will continue to evolve as we do. Experiences will pass from one hand to the next and compound exponentially until the end of time. Our being is not earthly, but will be remembered by and passed on through those with whom we share our Earthly journey. What mark will your being leave?
