Practical Phaser
Remember Star Trek? I don't mean the crap series with Scott Bakula. I mean Kirk and Picard, the founding pillars of Star Trek Captains of Awesomeness. I was on /tg/ hearing idiots bitch about the ergonomic design of a phaser when considering combat (which is not the only thing it is designed for) and took it upon myself to make a multipurpose variable attenuation laser- pretty much a phaser. Controls and microcomputer are on the back, ironsights on top, laser aperture as you can see it, and a power cell in the grip. Personally, I think it's among the more elegant things I've designed. Utility counterpart to this.
