Old picture of Mafalda while she was recovering from severe back pain. She is fine now, (see the picture in the comments). Hopefully I will be able to put away her little chicken pen, for good.
To all dachshund parents: remember that Intervertebral Disc Disease (IVDD) is a quite common problem in "sausage dogs". Don't despair but act quick! Rest and painkiller can help to avoid paralysis and surgery.
Several years ago, during a check, a veterinary told me to don't expect a miracle... Mafalda was going to have wheels!
Now she is 11 and she is a firecracker! Able to run, stand and do all kind of craziness :)
