Kodak Handle Instant Camera

The Kodak Handle instant camera, the one pictured on the left in the above screen capture, was one I purchased in 1977 to take on a vacation to visit Arizona with my family. We had moved back to Illinois from there in 1974 and this was our first return visit.

I didn't have opportunity to use the camera much before I left, but if I had, I probably would have taken one of my other cameras instead. I was never knocked out with the performance of this Kodak instant camera. Eventually, the handle broke off, which made it hard to eject the pictures when they needed winding out the top and then to top it all off, Polaroid sued Kodak for instant film technology copyright infringement and Kodak was forced to get out of the instant film and camera business. I don't remember what happened to my Handle, but I do know I didn't exchange it or get any money back for it when the end came around 1984.
