ronghualu says: Actually, this photo is taken from Leica's website. This is an excellent photo, but still suffers the digital flatness, and the low contrast washes out any drama. Leica says the $8000 MM is the future of b/w. Compared to cameras from +50 yrs past and of today (below), what do you think?

ronghualu says: Nikon D700. This image is truly stunning: for the gorgeous model, lighting, and clarity. With lens, the D700 is about 1/4 the price of Leica M M. What do you think?

ronghualu says: In the photographer's own words: "This was taken with a Contax T2 with fixed lens Carl Zeiss 38 2.8 and 100 ISO colour film (Fuji), then converted into b/w with a little contrast adjustment." This photo is timeless. How would you compare this to the Leica M M above?

ronghualu says: Nikon D300. Maybe not true b/w, but still mono. The sharpness, clarity, resolution are outstanding, as are the lighting, pose and gorgeous model. A stunning image. How would you compare this to the Leica MM above?

ronghualu says: per the photographer: Rolleiflex 3.5F with Yellow filter Tri-x 400 Rate 400 D76 1+1 20ํ / 11 minute northern Thailand. An excellent b/w film image from a 1960s vintage camera. The photographer has captured the pathos of the subjects. It has what digital b/w lacks: depth and texture. It has some grain, due to the ISO400 speed, but this adds to the effect of depth and texture. I'm sure the analogue print would be far superior to what you see on screen. How would you compare this to LMM above?

ronghualu says: Nikon D800. With lens, the D800 is 1/3 the price of LMM. Sony's imager has created an excellent photo: contrast, texture, depth, tonal graduations. What do you think?
