Reflections of An Old Red Mill

A view of Alley Mill from across the spring. It was about 20 degrees the day I took this, and the trees were covered in ice everywhere except the valley where the old mill is. Apparently the warmth of water keeps the area somewhat above freezing, although you can see some snow / ice on the mill's roof and patches around the spring.

Alley Mill & Spring is located near Eminence Missouri and one of the many springs found along the Ozark National Scenic Riverways. Alley Spring has an average flow of around 80 million gallons per day. If you look at the reflection, towards the roof area you will see some lighter streaks. This is light colored gravel on the bottom of the spring and is about 25-30 feet below the surface and is easily visible due to how clear the water is. Hope you all are having a great Thursday! View large if you have time!
