Cars Design - Hierarchy of Needs

The Hierarchy of Needs states that a design must serve its low-level needs, or function, before meeting higher level needs, such as its form.

The car starts at a purely functional form. As its reliability increases, so does its usability and thus, its ubiquity in society. This increased the proficency of the use, allowing for greater and greater creativity by the designers
